About

This is a personal blog where I write reflections, notes and occasional rants on the random assortment of topics I’ve been reading and researching on. While the topics will be diverse, they are all connected by one unifying thread, which has been my compulsion to understand how the world actually works.

I love nothing more than a popular science book which has been written to summarise the latest research in a field, and I’ll love it even more if the book is based on comprehensive meta-studies and contains detailed references – I’m just that cool.

Climate change, biodiversity loss and democratic structures (or lack of) have been the topics I’ve studied most, and I find our societies inability to talk about these issues in a semi-coherent manner infuriating. At the same time, trying to understand and engage in solutions to such saddening realities has made me appreciate and accept that I’m just an insignificant speck – albeit an angry one.

If you like non-fiction and popular science books, then I hope that this blog can act as a gateway to many fantastic pieces of work. Learning about how the world works can be incredibly fulfilling, even if a lot of that knowledge is depressing as hell.
